A Prayer for Reconciliation

“If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all”Romans 12:18

Father, there is a distance between us, that person and me, and the silence has stretched on so long that reaching across it now feels almost impossible. But the gap is heavy, and I am tired of carrying it.

I confess my part in how things broke. It is easier to catalog their faults, but I have not been blameless, and pride has kept me from making the first move toward repair.

I want peace more than I want to be proven right. So I bring this fractured relationship to You and ask for the courage to take a step I cannot fully control the outcome of.

Your Word calls me to do all I can, as much as it depends on me, to live at peace. I cannot force their response, but I can soften my side of the wall. Help me do that with honesty and grace.

Prepare both our hearts. Go ahead of the conversation I am afraid to have.

I release the outcome to You and offer my willingness as a seed. Whatever comes, make me a person of peace. Amen.

Amen.

You are only responsible for your side of the wall. Lower it, and leave their response to God.
