A Prayer for Healing and Restoration

“I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten.”Joel 2:25

Father, this season did not just make me sick, it took things from me. The job, the routines, the version of myself who felt strong. I am healing slowly, but I am standing in the wreckage of what the illness cost.

I confess I have grieved the lost time and felt cheated by it. I look at the gap between the life I had and the one I have now, and it aches.

Yet I turn to You, the God who does not only mend bodies but rebuilds lives, who restores the years that felt eaten away.

Heal what still needs healing in me, but do more. Restore what was lost. Rebuild my strength, my hope, my sense of purpose. Bring back joy that does not depend on everything being undone. Make something new from these ruins.

You promised to restore the years the locusts have eaten, to give beauty in place of ashes. I hold You to that goodness, not as a debt, but as a hope.

I trust You to redeem even this. Heal me, restore me, and let what was broken become the very ground where new life grows. Amen.

Amen.

When illness has cost you more than health, He restores what was lost.
