A Prayer for Spiritual Protection

Father, there are days when the battle feels less like flesh and blood and more like something pressing on my spirit. A heaviness I cannot trace, a pull toward bitterness, a quiet drift away from You I only notice once I am far off.

I confess I often forget I am in a fight at all. I leave the door open through small compromises and then wonder why I feel so worn down and distant.

So I come to You, not in my own strength, which has already proven thin, but under Your covering. You are my refuge, and there is no scheme You have not already seen.

Cover my heart, my home, and the people I love. Push back the darkness that wants to discourage me. Let nothing accuse me that Your grace has not already answered.

Your word says to put on Your full armor so I can stand firm, for the battle belongs to You, not to me. Clothe me in it this day.

I take my stand behind You, not in front of You. Whatever comes against me today, I am already hidden in Christ and held by grace. Guard my coming and going, and let me rest secure under the shadow of Your wing. Amen.
