A Prayer for Faith in Hard Times
Father, this season has worn me down. The hard days have stacked on top of each other until I can hardly remember what relief felt like, and my shoulders ache from carrying it.
I confess there are mornings I wonder if You see me at all, if my prayers are climbing past the ceiling or just falling back into the room.
But I am here again, knocking, because I have nowhere else I would rather bring this weight. You are the only One strong enough to hold what I cannot.
Steady me in the middle of this. I am not asking You to remove every hard thing today, only to give me enough faith for the next hour, and then the hour after that.
You promised that when I pass through the waters You will be with me, and the rivers will not sweep me away. Let me feel that nearness now, even with the water at my chest.
So I lay this hard season in Your hands. Hold me through it, and let me come out the other side still standing, still Yours, and somehow softer for the wear. Amen.
Amen.
He does not promise no water, only that He will be in it with you.
