A Prayer of Gratitude for God's Faithfulness

Father, I looked back over this year and saw Your hand all through it, even in the months I thought You were absent. You were faithful when I was faithless, present when I felt alone.

I confess how quickly I doubt You. One hard week and I start to wonder if You have forgotten me, as if Your character changes with my circumstances. It never has.

So let me trace the line of Your faithfulness like a thread running through everything. The provision that always came, sometimes at the last possible hour. The strength that showed up right at the ragged edge of my own. The morning that has followed every single night, without exception, my whole life long.

Your word says Your mercies are new every morning, and great is Your faithfulness. I have lived long enough now to know from experience that it is true and not just a comforting saying. Not once, in all these years, have You actually failed me.

Anchor me to that record. When the next storm rolls in, and I know it will, let me remember that the same God who held me through every storm before is more than able to hold me again.

You have been faithful in every season I have walked through. I trust You with the ones still ahead. Amen.
