A Prayer of Thanksgiving for Answered Prayer

2 min readPray slowly
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”1 Peter 5:7

Father, You did it. The thing I asked for, the thing I almost stopped asking for, You answered, and I am standing here a little stunned, holding what I prayed about for so long.

I confess that while I waited I rehearsed disappointment more than I trusted You. I half expected silence. I prepared myself to explain away another no. And then the yes came, and it exposed how small my faith had grown.

So before I rush past this into the next worry, I want to stop and thank You properly. Thank You for hearing the prayer I whispered when I had no strength left to shout it.

You said to cast my cares on You because You care for me, and You proved it was not just words. You were listening the whole time, even through the long quiet.

Let me remember this moment the next time the waiting feels endless. Build an altar in my memory right here, a stone I can return to and say, this is where He came through.

Keep me grateful and not just relieved. I do not want to take the gift and forget the Giver. Thank You, Father, for answering. Amen.

Amen.

Mark this moment, so the next long wait has something to lean on.
