A Prayer for Hope When Everything Feels Lost
Father, it feels like everything is gone. What I built, what I counted on, what I thought was solid, has come apart in my hands, and I am standing in the wreckage not knowing where to put my feet. I keep waiting to wake up from it.
I confess I do not see how anything can be rebuilt from here. The loss feels total, and naming it out loud makes my throat close.
But even here, in the rubble, I am reaching for You, because You are the only foundation that did not fall. You restore what looks ruined and gather what has scattered.
Your word says Your mercies are new every morning, that Your faithfulness is great even when everything else fails. I am clinging to that this morning with both hands.
I release the life I lost. I cannot carry its weight any longer. Make a beginning where I only see an ending, and give me grace to take the first step.
Even now, You are not undone, and what is lost to me is not lost to You. Stay close in the ruins, and help me believe You can build again. Amen.
Amen.
When everything is lost, God remains, and He has rebuilt from ashes before.
