A Prayer for Loneliness in Your Faith
Father, I feel like the only one who still believes. At work, at the table, among the people I love most, I carry this faith alone, and the questions and the longing have no one to land on but You.
I confess it gets heavy, defending what I believe, wondering if I am foolish, missing the kind of friend who would pray with me instead of looking at me sideways when I mention Your name.
So I bring You this spiritual solitude. Elijah once thought he was the only faithful one left, and You gently told him there were thousands he could not see. I am not as alone in this as I feel.
Send me even one companion on this road, someone to share the journey and sharpen me. And until then, be the friend who walks beside me unseen, for You promised to be with me always, to the very end of the age.
I lay down the weariness of believing alone. You have not left me to carry this faith by myself. You are walking this road with me right now, and the day is coming when I will look up and find I was never the only one. Amen.
Amen.
You are not the only one who believes, and you never walk it alone.
