A Prayer for a Marriage Facing Infidelity

Father, I found out, and the ground has not stopped moving since. The person I trusted with everything became the source of the deepest wound, and I keep replaying it, sick to my stomach, wondering what was real and what was a lie.

I confess I am drowning in this, swinging between rage and a grief so heavy I cannot lift my head. I do not know whether I am called to leave or to stay, and I am terrified of getting it wrong either way.

So I bring my shattered heart to You, the One who is close to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. You see the betrayal fully, and You are not asking me to pretend it did not happen.

Hold me together while I cannot hold myself. Give me clarity that is not poisoned by panic. If there is a path to true repentance and rebuilt trust, make it plain. And protect my dignity whatever I decide.

You promised to be near the brokenhearted, to bind up wounds and bring healing in time. I am that brokenhearted person tonight. Come close.

I cannot carry this alone, so I will not try. I place this betrayal, this decision, this raw and bleeding heart in Your hands. Lead me to truth, and do not let this destroy me. Amen.
