A Prayer for a Strong Christian Marriage
Father, life is pulling at us from every side, work and bills and kids and a hundred small urgencies, and I can feel how easy it would be to let our marriage become just logistics, two people managing a household instead of loving each other well.
I confess we have let You slip to the edges. We pray separately, if at all, and we have stopped building this thing on purpose, coasting on what we set up years ago while the foundation quietly weathers.
So I come to You and ask You to be the center of us again, not an afterthought but the cornerstone. A house built on anything else will not hold when the storms come, and the storms always come.
Knit us together in something deeper than feelings. Give us shared faith, shared prayer, shared purpose. Let our home be a place where Your peace lives and our children, if we have them, see love that looks like Yours.
You said that unless You build the house, the builders labor in vain. So build ours. We do not want a marriage that merely survives. We want one that means something.
I lay our marriage on Your foundation, the only one that holds. Make us strong from the inside out, rooted in You, ready for anything, a love that points back to the One who made it. Amen.
Amen.
A marriage built on God outlasts every storm built to break it.
