A Prayer for a Business I Own

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established”Proverbs 16:3

Father, this business has my name on it and my sleepless nights in it. The invoices, the payroll, the customers who trust me, the slow months that make me wonder if I built something foolish. You see all of it, including the worry I hide behind a confident face.

I confess I have carried this alone, as though the whole thing rises or falls on my own cleverness. I have prayed less and panicked more, and treated You like a backup plan instead of the foundation.

So I bring the books, the team, and the future to You today. You are the giver of every good idea I have ever had and every door that has ever opened.

Give me wisdom for the decisions ahead, integrity when shortcuts tempt me, and provision that does not depend on my striving. Help me lead the people under my roof with fairness and genuine care.

Your word says I should commit my work to You, and my plans will be established. So I commit this whole venture to You, profit and loss alike.

I loosen my grip on what I cannot control. Whatever season this business is in, let me run it as a steward and not a slave, trusting You to establish what is good. Amen.

Amen.

You are a steward of this business, not its anxious owner of every outcome.
