A Prayer for Peace About My Career
Father, I keep asking whether I am on the right path. Years are passing, peers seem further along, and some nights I lie awake wondering if I chose wrong, missed my calling, or wasted time I cannot get back.
I confess I have made my career into the measure of my whole life, until my peace rises and falls with every setback and comparison. I have asked a job to give me a security only You can give.
So I bring this restless searching to You. You have known the shape of my days from the beginning, and not one of them has surprised You or slipped from Your hands.
Quiet the noise of who I am supposed to be by now. Show me the next faithful step instead of the whole unwritten map, and help me trust that meaning is not always measured in titles and salaries.
Your word tells me You have plans for me, plans to give me a future and a hope. Let me believe that even here, even in the uncertainty, that promise is still true.
I lay my questions at Your feet and let them rest there tonight. Be my stillness, and my quiet certainty that I am exactly where Your grace can find me. Amen.
Amen.
Your worth was never measured in titles. You are already where grace finds you.
