A Prayer for Direction in My Calling

Father, I am restless in a way I cannot fully explain. I have a job and a routine, but underneath it I keep sensing there is something You made me for that I have not yet stepped into, and I do not know what it is or how to begin.

I confess I have buried that longing under busyness because chasing it feels risky and uncertain. I have told myself it is foolish, when really I am just afraid of looking foolish.

I turn to You, the One who formed my purpose before I drew my first breath. You do not waste a single thing in me, not the skills, not the wounds, not the quiet desires that will not go away.

Make my calling clear to me, not all at once, but enough for the next step. Open doors that fit who You made me to be and close the ones that only flatter my ego. You promised that the plans You have for me are for good, to give me a future and a hope, so I lean into that promise.

I surrender my timeline and my need to have it all figured out. Where You lead, I will follow, even one small step at a time. Awaken me to the work that is truly mine. Amen.
