A Prayer for Guidance When Moving

Father, the boxes are starting to pile up, and so are my doubts. This move felt right when we first decided, but now that it is real I keep wondering whether we are walking toward something You have for us or simply running from what is hard here.

I confess my heart is divided. Part of me grieves leaving what is familiar, and part of me is anxious about a place where I know no one and nothing is settled yet.

So I bring this whole upheaval to You, the God who went ahead of Your people into every new land and never once abandoned them on the way.

Guide our timing and our steps. If this move is Yours, plant a settled peace in me that no second-guessing can shake. If it is not, make that plain before the truck is loaded. Your word promises that You go before me and will be with me, that You will never leave nor forsake me, so I am not walking into this alone.

I let go of my need for guarantees about the house, the work, the friendships still to come. Wherever we land, let it become a place where Your presence is unmistakable. Go before us and make the way. Amen.
