A Prayer for Direction in My Relationship

God, I do not know whether to hold on or let go, and the not-knowing is wearing me thin. I lie awake replaying conversations, searching for a clear sign, and every morning I wake up just as unsure as the night before.

I confess I have been afraid to ask You directly, because I am scared of the answer. Part of me wants You to confirm what I want. Part of me already suspects what is true and keeps looking away.

So I bring this person, this whole tender, complicated bond, and I lay it open before You. You see what I cannot, the future I keep guessing at, the things hidden even from us.

Give me honesty over comfort. If this is good and worth fighting for, give me the patience and grace to do the work. If it is not, give me the courage to walk away with kindness.

Your word says to guard my heart above all else, for everything in my life flows from it.

I trust You with the people I love, Father, even this one. Make the way clear, and give me strength to walk it well. Amen.
