A Prayer for Hope for a Better Tomorrow
God, today was heavy, and I am tired of days that feel like this one. I crawl into the evening worn out, half afraid that tomorrow will only bring more of the same. I want to believe better is possible, but believing it takes a strength I am short on tonight.
I confess I have let a string of hard days convince me that this is simply my life now, that nothing improves. That heaviness has dimmed my eyes to any other future.
But I bring this tiredness to You as the day closes, because You hold the morning I have not yet seen. You are already in tomorrow, preparing things I cannot imagine.
Your word says no eye has seen and no mind has conceived what You have prepared for those who love You. Let that stretch my small expectations wider than this hard week.
I release tonight's despair before I sleep. I refuse to carry it into the morning. Plant in me the quiet expectation that good is still ahead.
Tomorrow is not bound to be a copy of today, because You are making something new. Let me wake with hope, and meet me in the morning. Amen.
Amen.
Tomorrow is not obligated to repeat today; God is still preparing things you cannot picture.
