A Morning Prayer for Favor Today

Father, today carries weight I cannot manage on my own. There are doors I am hoping open, people I need to reach, outcomes I have no power to force. Before I step into any of it, I ask for Your favor.

I confess I have tried to manufacture my own breaks, hustling and worrying and leaning on charm or strategy, as if the right outcome depended on me alone rather than on Your kindness toward me.

So I stop striving for a moment and simply ask. Go before me and soften the rooms I walk into. Open what You want opened and let Your blessing rest on the work of my hands today.

You said that You surround the righteous with favor like a shield, that Your goodness goes ahead of them. I am not asking to be deserving. I am asking You to be generous as You have always been.

Whatever this day holds, let Your hand be on it for good. Make a way where I see no way. I give You my hopes for today, and I trust Your favor more than my own effort. Amen.
