A Morning Prayer for Guidance and Direction

Father, I am standing at the edge of a decision and I genuinely do not know which way to go. The path forks in front of me, and my own reasoning keeps running in circles without landing anywhere.

I confess I have leaned hard on my own understanding, weighing pros and cons until I am dizzy, trusting my judgment more than I have trusted You. And still the way ahead is unclear.

So I stop trying to figure it all out alone and I ask You to lead. Light the next step, even if I cannot see the whole staircase. Make Your direction unmistakable.

You promised that if I trust You with all my heart and do not lean on my own understanding, You will make my paths straight. I am leaning on You now instead of myself.

Close the doors that are not mine and open the ones that are. Give me peace where I should go and unrest where I should not. I give You this decision, and I trust You to guide me true. Amen.
