A Morning Prayer for Strength When You Feel Depleted
Lord, I woke up already tired, as if sleep gave back less than the day took. My body is heavy and my spirit feels thinned out, and I do not know where I will find the strength for what is ahead.
I confess I have been running on my own reserves for too long, telling myself I could push through one more day, and now the tank reads empty and I am afraid of falling short.
So I stop pretending I am strong enough. I come to You honest and worn, and I ask You to be the strength I do not have. Pour into the places that feel scraped clean.
You promised that those who wait on You will renew their strength, that they will rise on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. I am waiting on You now.
Carry me through the parts I cannot carry myself. Let Your power show up most clearly right where I am weakest. I give You my emptiness, and I trust You to fill it. Amen.
Amen.
Strength is not summoned from within. It is received from Him.
