A Morning Prayer When Facing a Big Day

Father, today is the day I have been dreading and preparing for at once. The interview, the surgery, the conversation, the test. My stomach knew it before my eyes opened, and the nerves are real.

I confess I have built this moment into a mountain, imagining every way it could go wrong, forgetting that You go before me and behind me and that I do not face it alone.

So I bring the whole towering weight of it to You. Steady my shaking hands. Quiet the what-ifs. Help me show up as my truest self and leave the outcome in Your hands.

You told me to be strong and courageous, not terrified or discouraged, because You are with me wherever I go. So I will carry Your presence into this day like armor.

Whatever happens when the moment comes, hold me through it. Let me feel You near in the waiting and the doing. I give You this big day, and I trust You with what I cannot control. Amen.
