A Prayer for God's Hedge of Protection

Father, I feel exposed today, like a field with the fences down, open to whatever wants to wander in and trample what I have worked to grow. I am asking You to set a hedge of protection around my life.

I confess I have tried to build that wall myself, with careful plans and contingency upon contingency, and still the worry seeps through every gap. My defenses were never as tall as I needed them to be.

So I ask You to surround me, my family, and the work of my hands with Your own boundary. Be the wall on every side that no harm crosses without first passing through Your mercy.

You did this for Your servant Job, putting a hedge around him and his household and all that he had, and I ask for that same encircling care over everything and everyone I love.

Within that boundary, let me finally exhale. Help me tend what is mine in peace, trusting the fence I cannot see because You are the One who set it. Amen.
