A Prayer for Protection at Work

“No weapon formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.”Isaiah 54:17

Father, I am clocking in with my stomach already in knots, bracing for the politics, the pressure, the person who seems to want me to fail. This place can be hard on a soul, and I need You with me through these hours.

I confess I have let this job get inside me. I replay conversations in the parking lot, take the criticism home, and let the fear of one wrong move steal my sleep. My sense of worth has gotten tangled up in their approval.

So I ask You to cover me here, through every hour on the clock. Guard my mind in the meetings, my hands in the work, my reputation against what is unfair. Where there is hidden danger or quiet sabotage, expose it and keep me clear of it before it can touch me.

You said that no weapon formed against me will prevail, and that this is the heritage of those who are Yours, so I carry that promise into the building instead of my dread.

Let me do honest work with a steady heart, and walk out at the end of the day still myself. My security is in You, not in this place. Amen.

Amen.

Your worth was settled before you ever clocked in, and it does not depend on their approval.
