A Prayer for Trust in God's Provision
Lord, I want to trust You with my provision, but if I am honest my trust frays at the edges every time the balance drops, and I find myself white-knuckling what I claim to have surrendered.
I confess my faith is real but it is small, and I keep taking the worry back from You ten minutes after I lay it down, as though You could not be relied on past lunchtime.
Help me actually trust You. Not in theory, not in the calm seasons only, but here, with this specific need that has no obvious answer and a deadline I can see.
Grow my faith in the gap. Let me lean my full weight on You and find that You hold, the way I cannot quite believe until I try it.
Your word tells me to trust You with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding, and that if I acknowledge You, You will make my paths straight. I want to live like I believe that.
I choose to trust You again, imperfectly, today. Be faithful where my faith runs thin, and prove gentle and reliable yet again. Amen.
Amen.
Small faith leaning on a faithful God is still enough to hold.
