A Prayer for Success at Work

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain”Psalm 127:1

Father, I came into work today carrying the weight of needing this to go well. The deadlines are real, the stakes feel personal, and somewhere underneath it all is the quiet fear that if I fall short here, it says something about me.

I confess I have started measuring my worth by my output, chasing a kind of success that never lets me rest. I have leaned on my own grip and called it diligence, when really I was just afraid to let go.

So I turn to You before I open another tab or answer another message. You are the One who actually makes anything I build stand. Steady my hands and clear my head.

Help me work with honesty and care today. Give me wisdom in the decisions, patience with difficult people, and the focus to do the next thing well instead of dreading the whole mountain.

Your word says that unless You build the house, the builders labor in vain. So I invite You into this house, this project, this ordinary day of effort.

I release the outcome to You. Whatever this day produces, let me end it knowing I worked faithfully and trusted You for the rest. That is a success worth having. Amen.

Amen.

Real success is faithful work entrusted to the One who makes it stand.
