A Morning Prayer for Focus and a Clear Mind
Father, my mind feels like too many tabs open at once, thoughts scattering before I can finish one. I sit down to begin and twenty other things tug at my attention. I need You to clear the fog.
I confess I have let distraction become a habit, jumping from screen to screen, never fully present, then wondering why nothing important ever gets done and why I feel so frayed.
So I ask You to settle my scattered mind this morning. Pull my thoughts into one place. Help me give my full attention to the work in front of me and resist the pull to be everywhere at once.
You said You will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is steadfast, because they trust in You. So I fix my wandering thoughts on You first and let that steadiness spread.
Quiet the noise, sharpen my focus, and help me do one thing at a time with care. I give You my scattered attention, and I trust You to make it whole and steady. Amen.
Amen.
A steadfast mind is not a busy one. It is a mind anchored in the One who never wavers.
