A Short Morning Prayer

Father, good morning. Before the day begins, I give it to You. Thank You for waking me, for the breath in my chest, for mercy that is new again with the light.

I confess I cannot hold this day together on my own. So I will not try. I hand You my plans, my worries, and the things I cannot control.

You said that Your mercies are new every morning, that great is Your faithfulness. I am standing in that faithfulness right now.

Walk close to me. Steady my steps, soften my words, and keep my heart turned toward You. Be my strength when I am weak and my peace when I am unsettled.

I trust You with everything this day holds. Amen.
