A Prayer for Peace Before a Big Decision

Father, I am standing at a fork I did not ask for, weighing two paths and finding neither one fully clear. My stomach is in knots and I have run the pros and cons so many times the words have lost their meaning.

I confess I have wanted certainty more than I have wanted You, demanding a guarantee before I would take a step. The fear of choosing wrong has frozen me in place.

So I bring this decision to You, the One who sees the whole road I can only glimpse in pieces. Quiet the panic that says everything rides on getting this perfect. Steady me long enough to hear You.

Your Word says when I trust You with all my heart and stop leaning on my own understanding, You will make my paths straight. I choose to trust You like that now, in the not-knowing.

I surrender the outcome and the need to control it. I trust You to redeem even an imperfect choice.

Walk with me to the edge of this decision, and give me the peace to take the next step knowing You go ahead of me. Amen.
