A Prayer for Peace in Uncertainty
Father, so much of my life is question marks right now. I do not know how this season ends, or how the pieces land, and the not-knowing sits in my stomach like a stone I carry everywhere I go.
I confess I have tried to bargain my way to certainty, googling, planning, imagining every version of the future as if I could control which one arrives. All it has done is exhaust me.
So I bring my unknowns to You, the only One who already knows them. I cannot see around the corner, but You are already there. Let that be enough for tonight.
Your Word says You know the plans You have for me, plans for good and not for harm, to give me a future and a hope. I hold to that promise when my own sight runs out.
I release my grip on the answers I do not have. I trust the One who holds them.
Carry me through this uncertain stretch, one unhurried day at a time, until the fog lifts and I see how faithfully You led. Amen.
Amen.
You do not have to know the future when you know the One who holds it.
