A Prayer for Peace in My Home
Father, there is an edge in this house lately. Doors close a little harder, voices carry a little sharper, and the air feels tight with things unsaid. I want these walls to hold peace again, not tension.
I confess I have brought my own stress home and let it spill, snapping over small things, carrying the weight of my day into rooms where the people I love are trying to rest. Some of this unrest is mine.
So I bring this home to You, every room and every person under this roof. Drive out the irritation that has settled in like dust. Make this a place of refuge again, where grace is the first language we speak.
Your Word says as for me and my house, we will serve You. Let that be true not just in words but in the way we treat each other here, gently, patiently, day after ordinary day.
I lay down my short temper and my need to be in control of everyone's mood.
Fill these walls with Your steadiness, so that whoever walks through the door feels the difference, and calls this place peace. Amen.
Amen.
Peace in a home is built in small daily choices, not grand gestures.
